PURITY CLASSES : It is commercially not remove all dirt from hydraulic system using the finest filtration, hence purity classes have been established which take into consideration the operational requirements and individual components. The basis for these purity classes is the knowledge that a certain quantity of particles of a certain size will affect the wear of the components in different ways.
These purity classes can be achieved if the appropriate working filters are installed in the system at suitable locations. However, in many cases, these value can only be achieved by stage filtration.
